FAQs

How do I find my cabin once on board?

Please note your parking spot (this may be a number or a sign of a starfish, fish, seahorse etc.) and zone when leaving the garage. This will allow you to find your vehicle without difficulty when disembarking.
Please then proceed directly to your cabin; the cabin and deck numbers are indicated on your boarding card (each deck has a side with even numbers and a side with odd numbers).
A steward will check your boarding card and open your cabin.

What hygiene measures are in place for the preparation of meals?

In order to guarantee impeccable hygiene and nutritional safety on board, Corsica Ferries applies the HACCP method, developed by NASA in the 1960s to manage the risks connected to food manipulation in space.
The HACCP method inlcudes numerous controls :
-Upon reception of food supplies
- A Food & Beverage Manager aboard each vessel carries out numerous checks upon reception of food supplies:
- The temperature inside all refrigerated trucks conveying food is taken several times to make sure that all food products travel in impeccable hygiene conditions: - 18 degrees for frozen products and 6 degrees for fresh products.
- The results are rigorously analysed; if the analysis raises the slightest doubt, the relevant products are immediately withdrawn from the food chain.
- During the preparation and storage of all food products
Personal hygiene : All staff coming into contact with fresh produce must scrupulously respect strict hygiene regulations. The shift manager, responsible for hygiene, inspects the entire staff of each shift.
Food storage : All food served on board is prepared by our teams of professional chefs. In order to guarantee the freshness of the ingredients, we follow the reglementation, established by the EU, concerning best-before dates and longevity rules. .
Food testing : Corsica Ferries use an independent laboratory to test water quality and to analyse the food served in our restaurants as well as all food-preparation areas. Audits and sanitary spot-checks are carried out several times a year in order to make sure that the hygiene protocol is respected at each stage of the food chain.
Traceability : all fresh food delivered and cooked on board is subject to strict traceability requirements, in particular the ‘Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée’ system which testifies to the high standard of a product).
